Hello to everyone who has visited my site and viewed and taken an interest in my blog. I'm not the greatest of writers so I hope my photos that I share you all like and it makes up for the lack of writing.
It's been an amazing 2017 for me in photography. The year started off with a huge O2 Arena show photographing Avenge Sevenfold and the X-Factor Tour Show but very early in the year I would get the chance to photograph a young lady for DIY Magazine by the name of Maggie Rogers. An amazing artist and one I would recommend for any of you to listen.
I was given the opportunity by work to go to LA for four week and in that time it was hard not to get amazing photos on the street and at various LA music venues. Plenty of street photography documenting Skaters at the Venice Beach Skate Park, a quick portrait with America's smallest man and photographed JAIN at the Troubadour in West Hollywood. Another artist who has gone on to huge things.
Back to London and got to shoot Blondie, Liam Gallagher, The Kills, Depeche Mode and Louis Berry to name a few before we hit the festival season.
I was fortunate to have covered and documented Barclays Card Presents British Summer Time Festivals with headliners Kings of Leon, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and The Killers even though no one was actually allowed to shoot The Killers. Citadel, Standon Calling with the likes of legendary Grace Jones, Editors and newbie Nadia Rose, V Festival who had Pink headlining and my local festival On Blackheath with headliners The Libertines and Seasick Steve. I also got to shoot Glastonbury minus the two main stages but still an amazing experience. Highlight was getting a quick portrait of Brad Pitt during the set of Futures at the John Peel Stage.
Throw into the mix Jessie J, Sleaford Mods, Shed Seven, Blondie and Liam Gallagher again, Marilyn Manson with Johnny Depp for good measure it’s not been a bad year for music photography for me.
I assisted my first wedding with an amazing photographer by the name of Ross Hurley and got to shoot my first full wedding. Very nervous from start to finish but good fun.
Later part of the year I decided to try and shoot some Football or Soccer depending which part of the world is reading this. An intense ninety minutes making sure you capture that one image that potentially would tell the story in the match report. Thankfully one image I did capture made front page of the Guardian Sport supplement from the England Vs Germany International friendly.
Apart from finding out my wife was expecting our second child and shot some beautiful portraits of her and my son Henry my photography highlight will have to be spending a week with an amazing group of super humans who cycled from GENEVA To CANNES >> 1,000km & 28,512m climbing across "Les Grandes ALPES" in aid of BLOODWISE Charity - Beating Blood Cancers. Inspired by the Courage it takes to fight Cancer, these riders tackle the most gruelling climbs of Le TOUR de FRANCE and were dedicated to raising Awareness & Funds in the Advertising, Film & Media world.
Looking forward to 2018 and thank you for all your likes and comments on Facebook and Instagram. Its much appreciated.
